Baptism

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mat. 28:19-20
We follow the Wesleyan church’s statement on baptism, which reads, “We believe that water baptism is a sacrament of the church, commanded by our Lord and administered to believers. It is a symbol of the new covenant of grace, signifying acceptance of the benefits of Jesus Christ’s atonement. By means of this sacrament, believers declare their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.”

If you’ve made a decision to follow Christ and have yet to take this step, we invite you to publicly profess your faith through baptism.
Membership

None of us follows Jesus alone; we follow Jesus together. After committing to say “yes” to God’s invitation to join his family (expressed through baptism and profession of faith), it’s right to commit to one local congregation — a specific gathering of the family of God. That’s what membership is for: an expression of commitment to a specific body of believers, committing to love, serve, and extend the mission of God alongside others in the place we live.
Serve

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
From greeting to the kids’ ministry, we have many opportunities for you to serve. God has made you uniquely, and because of that, we believe that what you have to offer is important.

- “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42
- “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
- “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
